What Causes the Erosion of Tooth Enamel?

Tooth enamel is the outer portion of the natural tooth, the hard shell that protects the tissue inside of the tooth canals. Enamel covers the crown, which is the visible portion of the tooth. Because the enamel is somewhat translucent, light can be seen through the tooth. The enamel, while one of the hardest tissues in the human body, is susceptible to damage and erosion. Drs.
